It does take a while, getting them up to two sparkles is quite quick, but after that it seems to take its time. I found out by accident that you could shine your badges too lol I was just tapping the screen with the stylus while looking at my trainer card and they made a noise, so I carried on rubbing them and thats how I found out about it lol

Is there a site with a list of tunes you can play on them?
Like AXA had a list of town tunes which sound like songs and mario and some sites have lists of Ocarina tunes for Zelda.

I thought you could rechallenge gym leaders? Can't you use the vs. seeker thing next to them? Maybe I'm getting my wires crossed with Emerald lol ah well =P
And I don't know of any sites like that, sorry I couldn't help!

You can play practically any song in existance... o_o

It'd the just the shaprs and stuff that you can't really play.

I didn't realise you could make sounds with them until ages after I realised you could clean your gym badges. I tried playing some random tuen (can't remember it now) but it didn't work.
